My house is built out of straw. Its pretty soundproof but insurance refused to cove it.

yes, straw too

did you tell them it was a studio and not a living area?

it makes sense its soundproof, as there are no sharp corners for standing waves.

I I thought about building mine underneath my backyard and covering it with 2' of dirt. I think that would have worked well......But then I woke up

They work great until the wolf comes along and huffs and puffs and blows your studio down.

I don't understand that at all?

Why throw away a perfectly good studio?

I know!!! At one of the amusement parks in our area they have a stage that rises up out of the ground (its completely below ground and when the music starts it raises up)...

I could build my studio underground and put the whole thing on a HUGE hydraulic bed... just have it lift up... everyone gets in... and it lowers back down

Except you'd better have good ventilation for when that one studio visitor who thinks they are SOOOOOOOO funny fluffs a muffin in the control room.

Yeah...letting the air biscuits fly in an underground studio could be a real friendship destroyer, unless, of course you have friends like mine, who at age 50 we all think farting is still the funniest thing around.

I may be getting older, but I'll never grow up.

Jimmy

It doesn't look to sealed up though. The windows need to be sodded up too. Good Try!
