Cakewalk tutorials

Just got CW Music Creator Pro 24. The tutorial got me confused right away. Are there any really easy leaning tools for cakewalk?, like Cakewalk for Dummies, or even morons who have never used a computer for music??

Check out the magazine "Computer Music". It is focused mostly on the hobbyist level user. Their forum also has a lot of good information for those just starting out:

There are a couple books for Sonar, but I'm not sure about Music Creator. Best way to learn is by trial and error, searching this forums archives for similar questions and posting a discussion topic if you get stuck.

For dummies I strongly recommend that you work through the tutorials that are included in the help file with Cakewalk products before buying any books.

Thanks for the replies Zone and Bloodhound. It's what I was looking for. Found 2 books that might help. "Cakewalk power" and "Cakewalk home studio" I'm way to slow with the program tutorials and they don't correspond with the software ie they tell you tp open Midi tracks template in the project window, yet on the dropdown menu there is no MIDI tracks template to open. What I'm loooking for is a simplwe book with pictures that show what all the crap is when you open the program. A demo going slowly opening the program, showing a BIG cursor telling you how to the file name etc ties in with audio data etc , how to intergrate folders, etc, in other words, do something like record "mary had a little lamb" from scratch. ending with it being heard. Then telling the newcomer to do it and making sure you do it right. Why can't there be a section like that for beginners? Anyway thanks again for the input.

Well, if you're looking for some "Hello world" examples you definetely will find it on those books. Anyway, you can always get some answers here and in the Newbies forum.

I like the "click on the button and see what happens" approach. Too lazy to read!!

The software today howeve get so complicated and intimidating that I sometimes have to RFTM.
