Talking complete beginner in need of help......

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to get started home recording. I have just got a gift of cubase and I'm wondering what kind of sound card to buy to get started. I would like to record both acoustic (with preamp) and electric guitar. What do you recommend. I'm looking to spend around 100 euro.

Thanks,

Pukeohontas

If you really want a good soundcard for recording I recommend the audiophile 24/96, but that one costs 250 euro.
It's worth it though. It was my first soundcard too and it still is.
I have no idea what 100 euro soundcard will do the job, if any..
If you're even half serious about recording I'd suggest you wait a while untill you got some more money to spend.

Good luck.

Lightbulb any other tips or hints?

Thanks for the advice, I'll just have to get it so. Where's the cheapest place to get it? I'm based in Dublin, but I can always get delivery.

Pukeohontas.
