Repeating time changes

I have learned to use the tempo track editor in Cubase SX to institute time signature changes, but now I ask...

Must I enter EVERY SINGLE ONE by hand? When I'm playing alternating measures of 7 and 8, it becomes a bit tiresome to manually click at each point and type each change repeatedly... especially when I'm just brainstorming and don't know exactly where the song is going.

I assume I must just deal with this as most people aren't as "mathy" about their songs and it wouldn't be an ordinary feature worth consideration...

If I'm right, is 2.0 any different?
