need help with effects - Home Recording

need help with effects

when I use an effect like delay as an off-line effect i lose the tail end of the effect and the clip stays the same size. also when i use a stereo effect on a mono track the results are mono im going crazy.Can anyone help?please?[/b]im using sonar 1.0
