Dont have a clue. i tried with other channels but gives the same results why is it that i can not record on another channel without the other channels being recorded.Help.

Me too!!!!

I am using cubase vst32 and I am having the same problem. What's the deal? I thought it was due to the mixer. What are we doing wrong here?

I have a double whammy where the first track is recorded and heard via phones, dry. But the second track (along with the first bled into it...!!) comes back with the original first track(separate) and they both have reverb on them.

I am plagued by this dreaded effect.....I swear, once i get it off it won't be coming back. The thing is my desk has a built in fx unit.

So, is it cubase or the desk?

I dont have VST - but I figure SX is somewhat similiar. Make sure that track 1 doesnt have the recording button switched on. If its on - then you are basically telling your computer to record on that track again.

track one is not on only the track that i want to record on and it still records the other tracks. its very annoying but it looks like a decent program so i want to stick with it.

Whats your signal chain? Maybe we can track the problem down for you.

I had this same problem with my SB Platinum, and when I'm drunk, I still forget...
What you have to do is select the input you want to record - NOT select "What U hear". This is NOT done in Cubase (it is done within Windows or the Creative s/w).
Where you do this depends on what sort of control panel/OS you are running. I have the Creative Launcher pull down menu installed on WIN98SE. You may have something different.
No matter what, you should have something that tells you what input you have selected, and I guarantee you it is probably "What U hear".
Of course I could be wrong - YMMV.
Good luck !
Mike
