THIS IS WIERD....my sound card doesnt listen to me
ok.. ive had some hiss in my recordings... ive tried to trace the problem.. im pretty sure its my mixer... its a behringer.. but lets not argue about that.. i have to max the levels on the faders to be able to haer guitar or drums or vox on the comp... i have a delta 66 sound card... i was messin around with it.. and i found this out.... I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE SOUND CARD !!! ??? i turned the master vloume up and down while playin a song... no volume differences at all.. i muted everything.. and the song is still the same loudness... its liked the hardware panel dont work???? and if i could have control.. i could turn up the ins.. and lower the mixer faders.. and i think i could get some loud sonuds on my comp w/out hiss.... any help at all????????

Do you have a second sound card in your pc?

If so, maybe you're playing back through that instead of your 66

no .. i have no second sound card.. i have one sound card.. the 66.. and i have all my stuff plugged into it... it works and stuff... but i cant control it... thats the prob....any one else please????? ill give u a dollar !help

Ok, for playback make sure you have Monitor Mixer selected on the Patchbay Router tab. You should now be able to control the levels of playback, mute etc.

Remember when you're recording, the monitor mix only shows you the input levels, and the sliders only control the levels being sent to the monitors (Outs 1-4), not the levels being recorded. To control your record levels, go back and adjust your pres or faders on the Behringer

yes
ok, i get it .. thx.. thats one ? down... but now... i still want to raise my levels.. if raise the pres and bus faders to the point that get the volume that i want... i start to get hiss.. how can i increase my volume without the hiss?

Have you tried changing the input level selections (they're on the tab next to the Patchbay Router)?

You've got the option of -10db, consumer or +4db. Try the +4db setting - that's the most sensitive
