Mr-8 CF readers win98
First has anyone got the MR-8 to work with Win98 USB port? I would think if you can run a driver to read a CF card reader/writer the same port should work for the MR-8.
Also anyone find CF card readers that wont read MR-8 formated flash cards? I seen a CF reader/writer that advertised it only reads DOS formated cards. I just purchased a MR-8 yesterday and i'm trying to prepare myself to have as little problems as I can when it get here. I plan to use mine for recording guitar, bass, vocals and then using my pc for drums. Anyone run a lineout of their sound card into the MR-8 to do a drum track? Thanks

I'm not sure if you can use Win98 at all in conjuction with the mr8...
Somewhere I read only 98SE can be used, but I don't know if this has taken into account the CF card reader or not... |

The only reason it dont work with 98 is because win98 dont come with usb mass storage support. But there might be a driver or a fix for it somewhere. Anyone find one?

I am using a card reader with Win98SE and have had no problems at all. I downloaded Wave Manager but I never use it. I can copy files directly from my CF card using Windows Explorer. I recently set up my computer to run Dual OS Systems but I don't have much of my music software on the drive running Windows XP so I haven't tried using the USB port directly.
