Need advice for conga accordeon studio

Hi

Im john, I want to upgrade my simple home studio to accomodate recording more channel at once.Need advice on this. I have Macbook Pro as recording computer. I am using logic express for DAW to utilize the software instrument and plugins.

Background on my music. I am a bassist/vocalist in a trio with accordeon player and conga player, we are doing metallica, scorpion and pantera cover re-arranged their songs with mix of indie folk punk and latin trance music.

I need advice on what audio interface to get, I've been considering motu 828mk3 or 8pre.
Also, with regard to accordeon and conga, what do you recommend for what kind of mic to record those instrument? ribbon or condenser or dynamic? paired?

advice will be much appreciated.
