what kind of guitar I should by? I have now a fat wood guitar with nowear to plug a plug into and hole in the middel for sounds to come out. i want a skiny guitar to look cooler and sound louder.

Spend the money on schooling. Education would seem to be more important to you right now. The guitar can come later.

If you want a guitar with a solid body and no hole for sound, or a hollow body, then yes you are looking for an electric guitar....

Yamaha Pacificas

there are many more but any of the above would serve you well

if you want to amplify your acoustic you can either mic it to an amp or buy a clip on pickup....

You are looking for a good solid-bodied electric guitar, and you have a budget of $800.

If that $800 is for the guitar only, you can buy a Gibson Les Paul Studio, or any number of made-in-Mexico Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters for that amount. And about a zillion other guitars.

You'll need an amplifier as well.
