I need help with interfaces! What interface should I get for my protools m-powered 7!

So I have really been struggling with interfaces. I have had been trying to get my protools to work with my m-audio fastrack for a year. Protools wont open because it says the interface isn't pluged in, so I guess it doesn't work. Does anyone know what up with it? Or should I get a new interface? If so which one would be best for protools m-powered 7? I am poor and need something that is best for the price. Thank You

Look down the list in your Protools disc.
I think you need at least the Fast Track Pro.
Having said that, I never got mine to work either.

I guess the digidesign interfaces should work abs digidesign is a ProTools developer?

Digidesign Interfaces

Now it's only left to deside how many channels of simultaneous recording you need and what connection you want USB 2.0 or Firewire

Cheerz!!

it should be working for you. From M-Audio:

Pro Tools M-Powered 7 requires a supported M-Audio hardware peripheral to function. Please visit http://www.digidesign.com/compato/ for a current list of compatible M-Audio hardware peripherals, current system requirements, compatibility information, and online support. Please install the latest driver for your M-Audio peripheral before updating to Pro Tools M-Powered 7.
http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support&tab=driver

uninstall PT and try updating your driver...then reinstalling PT.
