    Little Possum (Grunge/Alternative Rock)

Sounds good to me! Interesting lyrics, and the vocals sound nice and powerful.

    "The Noise" fixed up some...maybe

I get that. What I meant was, it would sound better a little tighter. Or at least with a little more low end. The stomp is what's driving the beat, I feel it should be more solid.

    "The Noise" fixed up some...maybe

The abrupt changes really stick out. If you don't want to fade in/out, maybe put in a crash cymbal or something to make the abrupt transition sound intentional. I would maybe lower the main vocals a tiny bit, and raise the bass a tiny bit. The stomp sounds good, but like rayc said, it sounds a...

In the mean time... first one of mine in a while

The vocals are very loud, they're burying everything else. They also vary greatly in volume. The drums and bass are too soft. The guitars sound dull, did you roll of a lot of the the highs?

Trying to sound like the Tennessee Three

Like everyone has already mentioned, bring up the guitars, bring down the drums. Can't hear the guitar properly, but I suspect it sounds a little dull. Everything else I really liked. The slurred vocals, I like it. Definitely goes with the song

First mix with the new toys and tools - "Ordinary"

Listening on a pair of Yamaha NS10Ms with a JBL sub, powered by an 80s Marantz amp. The bass is fine in most parts, but gets buried in some parts. I also think it lacks some definition. The kick is audible, but has no body. The vocals and guitar seem to overpower the other instruments. I...

    "Moonshine"-new acoustic song-2nd using ARC2

Sounds very nice, I particularly liked the lyrics. Solid performance all round, everything sounds great to me. :thumbs up:

Punk meets comedy somewhere in the Austrian Alps - "Shut yer Von Trapp!"

Interesting song, but to be honest it's a little difficult to listen to because of the quality. I guess you were going for the 60's punk sound though.

"Heavy" Final Mix? - Hoping You Will Give It One More Listen!

Sounds pretty good to me. The vocals might be a little low in some parts, but I think that's a good thing. I like it when the vocals don't jump out. Can't think of anything wrong, good job.

    Virtual guitar amps/analog guitar amps

Are you talking about the ePro Live? I tried it once, not too impressed. The practicality of an electronic kit and the thrill of an acoustic in one package seems like a good idea, but why not buy both separately? I dunno, to each his own. Very true, hadn't thought about it that way. I have had...

    Tuning kick drum

Tune it like you would a tom. Are you putting anything inside it? I see people putting in pillows and even sleeping bags to deaden it, but I think a little boom in the kick makes the drum track sound more natural. Try to get it sounding right before trying to fix it with EQ.

    Virtual guitar amps/analog guitar amps

Ah I see, that's a good answer. So I guess it isn't entirely about feel. I can relate to that. I guess what you call organic/rewarding probably seems cumbersome/too much work to others. That probably summarizes all 44 pages. As a drummer I know there isn't anything out there in the...

    Virtual guitar amps/analog guitar amps

So would you guys say that as far as a live performance is concerned, the difference in 'feel' and show is a bigger factor than the difference in sound itself?

    Virtual guitar amps/analog guitar amps

Interesting thread. I only play guitar at home when I'm recording my own stuff, with the band I'm always on drums. At home, I do use GR, but I could never imagine using it exclusively. I love putting up a 57 on a combo tube amp (does that count?), there's something very satisfying...

Panning problems with Guitar Rig in Reaper

That's exactly what I was looking for. It makes sense, I'll try it as soon as I can. Thanks Jiff :thumbs up:

Panning problems with Guitar Rig in Reaper

Thanks for the reply Jonny. Usually I have an amp running on GR, with a few of the GR effects. Sometimes I'll use just a reverb unit and it'll still be mono. Is there any way around this? I don't want to add GR to every single guitar track, it slows down my PC.

Panning problems with Guitar Rig in Reaper

So I'm using Guitar Rig 5 with Reaper. I have 4 guitar tracks, all under one folder, for convenience. The problem is, when I turn on GR on that folder, all the tracks in that folder become centered. I know I'm missing something obvious :spank: , what is it? Thanks :thumbs up:

Need help deciding what kind of drumset to get

If you plan on buying cymbals, hats, a kit, and heads, $600 isn't a lot. I agree with ermghoti. I have a Rockstar with Sabian cymbals too, and I haven't felt the need to change it ever. Nice heads tuned properly should get you any sound you need. Your cymbals though, are another story. B8s are...
