Hey guys. I want to do some quick recording on my iPad and I was wondering how things would be if I plugged in my SM58 into an iRig. I have a 1/4 converter btw. I know they sell the new iRig mic but I don't feel like spending $60 and then another $40 to plug in a guitar/bass. Any help?

I have two MXL V67g's and am trying to find the best sound I can get from them for my kit. So far I've gotten some pretty decent sounds but I know there is room for improvement. Any tips? thanks

No, if anything we're too close. No it is not treated, which is most likely the problem. Would going in my closet and putting some towels or something on the wall help? Middle of the room And yes the mic is fine.

Get one of the $299 Squier Teles. Very suprised how nice they are for the price.

new strings make all the difference. If you play metal and really want that growl, you should get a p bass or jazz. Yeah yeah, I know using a fender in a metal band ain't cool, but you'll be suprised how well they mix in. p.s. yeah I know this thread is old but my two cents.
