I have not tried this yet but i read the manual and it says that you can only transfer from track 7/8 after converting the track from mono WAV to stereo WAV. What does this mean??? Can you transfer files from tracks 1 2 3 4 and 5/6 too?

I've heard the free program Audacity is good, I also found another called Reaper. Does anyone know which is better?

i have a TASCAM 414 portastudio 4 track and have recorded some stuff onto it. when i put the tape in a regular taple player it plays it really slow, i think this makes better quality or sumthin. How do get the tape to play at the right speed, do i have to get a mix deck thing?
