yes, use the effects option under utilities and select the track you want to add an effect to.

Try checking the noise/sound ratio. If the material is just recorded at a low level, when the levels are turned up for more volume the noise level (such as hiss or hum) also increases.

I'd have to agree. You need both the headphones and monitors. I have yet to meet someone who turned out a technically sound mix using just headphones.

wawazzat, you know, with all the stuff out there on the internet these days, I won't be suprised if there is something like that out there for the vs 840. Yahoo has alot of different forums and bulletin boards so try checking there. I'm sure there'll be tons of information to be found.

Does anyone know of any software that can convert a song from a BR-8 formatted zip disk, directly into a song format such as .wav or .mp3? So that if I copy the files on the zip disk directly to my computer, I'll be able to convert those files to a readable format in order to burn it to a cd...

What could be happening is that when you move to the v tracks, so do your other tracks. Hit the V track button and move the cursor to the tracks that look like they've been erased. Then you should be able to select the v track that has already been recorded on. It should show back up the way...
