Has anybody used the ATB series? I am considering purchasing one for my studio as a step up. I've heard that the EQ is very comparable to the old Trident series 80B. They also have a mic pre in every channel, which is great for live tracking with lots of mics. Would love to hear feedback...

Hey all, Have you ever noticed that all the music Jeff Lynne has produced has a similar sound on the drums. You could pretty much spot it a mile away... anybody have any idea on how he mics the drums, mixes, compresses, etc.? I did a forum search, but couldn't find much... Thanks, Jeremy

As a lifelong musician (who's never really written until recently), I find myself getting stuck on songs about 3/4 of the way through making them up. I think maybe I'm trying to make them too complicated, with too many complicated chord progressions. Maybe simplicity would be the way to go...
