    SMPTE on edge track?

    Hey you. I'm finding that trying to record SMPTE timecode on to the edge track of a 1903 wax cylinder device results in the wax simply being gouged off the drum, rather than a nice square wave impression being recorded...     It almost seems Fostex only made 19 of these 8330 timecode sync boards. Does anyone have one or know where one is, that is available for purchase? Fostex 8330. Cheers.
