Anyone ever tried Adobe Audition 2.0 with the new Intel MacBook Pro?

Under the XP platform using Boot Camp, of course. Anyone has had this experience? How well does it run? I might buy the MacBook Pro because even if I want a Mac computer, I want to have the flexibility of using Boot Camp to run PC software that would otherwise be impossible to run on a Mac.

    Alright computer gurus...

I'm going to college this fall and will have to buy a laptop. What's the best laptop I can get for around $2000-2500 (give or take)? I've been looking at the MacBook Pro, but I am really scared of buying it because I've been a PC guy all my life and I fear that most applications I use today...

The Lawrence Arms - Alert the Audience!

Hi, This is a cover I did for TLA's "Alert The Audience!" I did the drums in fruity loops using DKFH2. Then I recorded guitars and bass straight from my POD 2.0. I mixed and pseudo "mastered" in Adobe Audition 2.0. How does it sound? (I know the snare sounds really harsh at some points...

    Omgomgogmogmogm

Hi, I recently changed my bass's strings and holy shiz. What a HUGE difference. I thought my bass was dead. I think this is my best recording so far (and am aware that I have a LONG way to go) but I'm glad I can hear an improvement. :) Tell me what you think. I think drums are the weakest...

    Gray

Hi, I feel that these lyrics are my first to depict accurately what I really feel. They are words that I actually mean. I don't really want to tell you what this is about just to see how you guys interpret it. It is rather a short song. By the way, at the end of the song there is one F-word...

    Whoever Said Punk-rockers can't solo...

...is probably right. :( Anyway, here is an insanely short song in which I fully expose the epic shredding guitar powers I was bestowed directly from the hand of the magnificent Chuck Norris. Click Here Click Here I recorded guitar and bass with a POD 2.0 and the drums were done with...

How would you EQ this clip?

Hi, I made a really short clip to show you how my guitar generally sounds in my recordings. I use a POD 2.0 connected directed to my (stock) line-in jack. I guess it doesn't sound THAT bad considering it's a really cheap soundcard. As for the bass, I'm so-so satisfied with the sound. I can't...

How do you work Drumkit From Hell 2 from within FLStudio 6? Can you?

Well, the title says it all. What's the best way to run DKFH2 from FLStudio 6? Thanks a lot! Spitz

Does AA 2.0 support Drumkit From Hell 2?

Hi, Well, yeah. How exactly does DFH2 work? Is it an application that works within another application? (AA 2.0?) When I open the program, all I can see is a window in which I load samples and mess around with how they sound (as in adding reverb, delay and such). I don't see anything where I...

Adobe Audition 2.0 cramming my hard drive.

Hi, I have a problem with Adobe Audition 2.0. Every time I record a new song, a new idea--a simple melody--I always end up recording the riffs many times because I either screw up or I simply want to change something in them, forcing me to record again. This means that quite a lot of tracks (in...

How does this sound? I can't tell 'cuz I recorded it and it drives me nuts. Dammit.

Yeah, I recorded this song today pretty fast. I tried to make the drums sound like a real player is behind the kit (they were made in fruity loops) but as always I had a fkin hard time doing that, heh. My biggest problem is that I don't know if I like the sound of it, mainly because I 've...

    What exactly is compression?

Well, I was reading the reverb thread a while ago and someone mentioned that reverb is as abused as compression. While I know what reverb is, I have very little understanding of what compression is and what it does to an audio track. And after that someone said that it is "abused" as well, I...

Mixers and Recording applications - How to's.

Hi, I roughly understand what a mixer does, and I'm going to buy my first mixer ever. This is the one I'm looking at (click here). My question is: can I somehow plug this mixer to my computer and have my recording application (Adobe Audition 2.0 or 1.5, I have both) "recognize" the different...

    PUNKIN' hard!

Hi, I would really, really, REALLY want to hear your input on this song as far as how each instrument sounds, what I can do better, etc. I'm relatively new to the recording business, and found these boards to have a lot of knowledge lurking around, so I might as well benefit from it :D...

Check out my guitar tone! (/bites nails)

Since I recorded this myself and stuff, it's pretty hard for me to judge whether it's a decent or completely yucky guitar tone. :S Please, please critique the tone. I'm just starting in the whole home-recording biz, and could really use your help. Drums were made in Fruity Loops haha. So...

The EQ Spectrum! ...in Adobe Audition.

I've been reading a lot on how to get the "wall of sound" in my recordings, and I've heard a lot that every instrument in the mix should be given it's own "punchy" spot in the EQ spectrum, moving out other instruments from that area to create as little overlapping as possible. With this in...

Starting the recording right where you select it

My problem is that when I want to record a new track at the end of the song, I have to sit through the whole song till I get to that part where I want to start recording that track. Is there a way to start recording right where you select it? I know it's possible because it used to be like that...

Where every instrument belongs in the EQ Spectrum.

Recently, I've read a lot of discussions from home-recording-related forums, and have come to the conclusion that one of the biggest factors involved in achieving the famous "wall of sound" in a recording is the correct placement of every instrument in the EQ Spectrum (correct me if it's not...

    Playing live:what do I need?

I have a small amp that sounds considerably less than the drums when my drummer plays softly. It really sucks, and it's knocking me off 'cause I want to start playing live concerts with my band. What do I need? I'm talking *small*, 15-20 max people concerts in my backyard and stuff like that...
