I've had a pair of 10Ds for about a year. I'm still getting used to them. They definitly color the sound in their own unique way. I have yet to decide if I really like them or not, but I probably need to get some more time in with them.

I have a pair of the 10w (UA-10d) digitals. They sound "okay"...but I'm not convinced that they sould "true". I think the inclusion of bass/treble controlls on the monitors may allow for uneven coloration of the sound.... For what I'm doing right now, they are okay...given the price...but...

I use this setup. I have the VF80 and Edirol UA-1D. I use Doggiebox (www.doggiebox.com) on Mac OS X to sequence drums. I then go out from the UA-1D to the S/PDIF input on the VF80. Then when all other tracks are done, and I'm ready to mix down....I mix down to Sound Studio (or Peak 3.5) via...

I've had my VF80 for 2 months now, with absolutly no problems. It's a dream!!! I got the VF80 because I could not find the MR8 in stock anywhere, but now I'm glad. The VF80 is perfect.

Pro Tools Free claims to support AIFF, but if it is not working.....I suppose you get what you pay for.... If Pro Tools does see the .wav files, there is no reason not to use those. However, before you copy anymore .wav files to your hard drive, use Norton Utilities, Techtool, or something to...

I bought a VF80 almost a month ago. I love it. The manual is really handy right after you start using it. However, once you have done one or two songs, you will have the hang of it. The EQ/Effects stuff can be a bit intimidating at first as well, but those make sense pretty quickly also. -sV

I like to record the drums first because the timing of *everything* else depends on them in one way or another. The way I usually do it w/ my VF80: Drums (programmed into Doggiebox) Rhythm guiar bass lead guitar vocals (as many tracks as necessary)
