so I have a presonus firestudio tube interface which has 16 inputs. I tried recording with garageband but apperantly it only lets you record up to 8 tracks at once. does pro tools let you record more than 8 tracks at a time? or any other software? I need to record at least 13 tracks at a time...

what are some good quality headphones i can buy that will be good for recording? I'm not a big fan of the beats by dre. too much low end on them and the music doesnt sound very clear. I need to get some very shortly. Thanks!

I need to record a bass using the presonus firestudio tube interface. People at GC have been telling me to buy an effects pedal and connect that to the interface. Is that a good way to go? or some sort of di box? maybe some other sort of bass pre-amp that will sound ok. Thanks for your input.
