Hey guys and gals. Has anybody here had any experience with the MXL 550/551R Recording Pack? if so, what are your thoughts? on paper the 550 looks like it may be really bright, is this the case? are there any mods for either of these mics?

So, my presonus fire studio turned up today after a couple of months of borrowing a friends, and seeing as i can now actually set it up in my rack properly i figured today would be perfect day to shootout my different pre's to see how they stack up...
