mixer hi, if you want to add effect as you are, you should always moniter through your mixer now, as the sound coming from the mixer will sound different than the sound coming streight from your sound card through the same set of speakers.

with the routing(mixing) software that i got with my delta 1010 from M audio i can turn inputs down and not hear them but still record them and vise versa. I also had some simlare routing (mixing) software when i had a motu2408 and could achieve the same thing.
