Hey I have recently purchased a new laptop for recording because the older one was getting too slow and far too many hang-ups and skips when multitracking and adding efx etc.
I now have a quad core 1.73GHz (8 x 1.73GHz) i7 processor with 6gb ram which I believe should be more than enough to run...
