Visual Sound Route 66 overdrive - any opinions?

It depends on your rig. OD pedals in particular sound vastly different through different guitar rigs. What kind of guitar and amp are you playing?

    Looper pedals

If I wanted something simple, I'd go for the Ditto. I sold mine because I needed a few more functions. Been through most of them: Ditto x4, Pigtronix Infinity etc. Ended up with a Boomerang III. It's just perfect.

    Show me your pedalboard!

I made a thread like this one a few years ago, but I couldn't find it.

    Complicated chords vs "regular" chords

Haven't been here in months, but I just wanted to say the show went really well! All those cancelled appointments and practice paid off well, and I learned a whole lot by not taking the easy route.

    Complicated chords vs "regular" chords

Thanks a lot los duderinos. After reading this thread, I cancelled every appointment this last weekend and worked through the "complicated" chords of all the 25 or so songs for rehearsal tonight. Great thing especially as many of the more complicated songs ended up being pretty guitar oriented...

    Complicated chords vs "regular" chords

Great. So I only need to play it if it's Suspended or Diminished, and regular chords are fine for everything else?

    Complicated chords vs "regular" chords

..but would it sound dissonant in any way? It's mostly slow religious praise music, and I'm playing along with the pianist who uses the complicated versions.

    Complicated chords vs "regular" chords

Call me lazy, but.... I'm in this project where we are going to play 20-25 songs just once in front of an audience. Now, this is definitely not the kind of music I'm usually listening to or have ever played before or even enjoy listening to, really, but it's good stage practice. Some of the...

Amp reverb noise - tube problem?

Thanks, that's good to know. That's a great idea. I might try something like that. Either that or build something around the tank and have it separate from the amp like one of those traditional tube reverbs. Kind of a hassle to carry for gigs, but then again I only play the occasional gig. I...

Amp reverb noise - tube problem?

Seems like turning the tank around while on top of the amp helps even more.

Amp reverb noise - tube problem?

Hi again. I tried something today that I should have tried long ago. I moved the reverb tank out of the amp and lifted it up as far as the cables allowed. The noise got less and less prominent the more I moved it away. I'm sure that means something? As a side question, can I touch the reverb...

Can I make a Jamming studio using amp sim, DAW and electronic drums

It will work out just fine if the computer isn't too old. I've had late night jam sessions all in the box like that in my home studio with e-drums, amp sims and digital synths. The latency was barely noticable.

    Considering trading my guitar

Very true. I'll try it and see and try not to let the GAS prevail. ---------- Update ---------- Then again, so is and does Fender..

    Considering trading my guitar

Hmm, good question. I'll ask the seller right away. Yeah, you're both right. It does seem like a short scale and the inlays don't seem Les Paul at all.

    Considering trading my guitar

Good point! I'll try to remain as objective as possible. The luthier is well known though, and is said to make outstanding guitars, which is probably why he makes them for those musicians. But yeah, I'll definitely keep that in mind when/if I try it.

    Considering trading my guitar

I just found a custom one-of-a-kind guitar being sold locally. The luthier who made this has made guitars for some pretty well-known people. This one was made for a relatively famous guitarist in Norway who has sadly passed away. Look at this puppy: I am in love. Tele(ish) body and Les Paul...
