    RJM MAstermind, eventide timefactor, and Korg xvp-10 exp. pedal setup

    I have been having trouble setting up my volume/exp. pedal for use with the time factor, wandering if someone can help me. I am very amateur with midi programming. So I have an rlm effects gizmo for rack effects controlled by a mastermind midi foot controller. The controller has an exp/volume...

    Vocal home recording equipement

    I am a true believer that the SM7B = Great male vocals. Can use it live also if you throw a decent gain unit in there. I would of course still recommend trying it out first.

    Is FireWire the way to go?

    My understanding of firewire is like this: USB (especially USB 3.0)is the fastest rate, but it is harder on you processor causing some delay and glitches on occasion when running heavy software, midi, tracking multiple items, etc... Firewire has a slower rate, but is easier on the processor...

    Snap crackle pop....distortion with Delta 1010/1604

    Does the hiss come in or out or is it constant? Also, does it make the hiss only during recording? Playback? Using itunes or media players? I have had a problem similar to this and later found it was a flawed interface or card.

    Rack amp and effects switcher for guitar

    I was leaning towards the gizmo as well. Thanks for the post. I will make sure to keep my more guitar related posts in a more appropriate thread.

    Rack amp and effects switcher for guitar

    So I am finally putting all guitar pedals, effects, etc in a rack with a rack controller. I basically want a rack unit that can change channels on my mesa, and also control pedals and an effects processor if need be. I am also looking for a good midi foot controller to control this rack unit as...

    Anyone use Motu Ultralite CuemixFX with ableton?

    I am having trouble understanding correct routing using CuemixFX... I usually open it, then open Ableton and I believe it overrides cuemixFX(other then I can control some volume through cueFX). I know how to go into hardware config in ableton and switch to headphones or speakers, but I don't...

    real drums, electric drums, or button pushing?

    I appreciate all the feedback. I have a motu interface, but only 2 mic preamps... I have access to drum mics, but without the preamps, pretty much worthless. I downloaded ezdrummer plug in, and it sounds WAY better then the presets in ableton. I think it will work with some practice. I think I...

    real drums, electric drums, or button pushing?

    So I have been trying to make some decent drum loops in ableton without any success... They are either generic sounding, or I don't know... missing that special something. I am now looking to possibly invest in a drum set to make drum loops. My question is if I should get a real drum kit, an...

    Making drums and beats in ableton

    So I have ableton, and I really enjoy using it. I am a guitarist trying to put some funk type songs out there. My drummer is unreliable, so I am trying to make drumbeats myself to play and record to. I am having trouble making decent beats using this program. Does anyone know of a tutorial...

    Anyone want to give feedback on my new song?

    Nicely done sir! This reminded me of Coldplay-esque type songs.

    let me see your studio!

    The SG and the stiletto are as good as it gets in my mind. I tried many guitars and many amps, but no combination compared. The stiletto has the crunchiest sound I've ever heard, it beats every 4x12 I've come across. The only downside to the stiletto is the lack of reverb, but I have a fender 63...

    White noise problems or low volume...

    I have been miking my guitar amp with a sm57 and a sm58. Run it into a a motu ultra lite and then into Ableton. I can get a great sound, but I find I have to turn up the volume levels in Ableton to get it loud enough, and then I get white noise. How can I prevent this? Is there something simple...

    let me see your studio!

    Thanks man! I love the strat for just coming up with some riffs and such (also squeaky songs ala stones, etc...), but the SG sound just can't be beat for me. Has that Derek Trucks raunchy low blues sound that I love!
