Hey he's a video of me making a Grime beat with some jazz style piano in there. Grime's becoming a bigger thing than ever in the UK right now and arguably world wide. But you rarely hear it with any Jazzy style chords mixed in so I thought I'd give it a try!

For such small money, do it. You really don't have much to lose. If your song(s) are gonna be on a compilation CD of some sort that get released everywhere it's a lot of promotion for you. Also if you are on a compilation with other great artists, I think that bodes well for your rep rather...

It varies. I think software has made it easier for people to mix multiple takes smoothly particularly for home studios. I aim for 1st takes where I can particularly when I'm recording my raps. The majority of my verses are done in one take.

It doesn't matter how loud the vocals are whilst recording as long as you get all of the vocals. You don't want things turned up so much that parts of the vocals are clipped. Generally it want to read between -3 to -6. You can always turn it up and add plugins to beef the vocal sound afterwards
