I just found out my office is getting rid of a Mac 7600/132. It looks old, and i'm not sure how easy it would be to upgrade it, but is this something worth thinking about for recording or is it just too outdated. I'm just looking to record at most 8 tracks simutaneously and playback like 24.....

I've been recording my songs onto a Boss BR-864 w/ A Yamaha mixer. I want to be more flexible in recording, so i'm thinking about going to a Computer Based System. Here is the setup i'd like to go with-I'd like to get any suggestions to this setup- Chipset-AMD Athlon XP3000PR 2.2 GHz (400MHz...
