I am looking to get a autotune for my voice live, not to correct the pitch, but to get the daft punk and cher (belive in love) effect. Antares Autotune is pretty expensive, anything thats not a plug in I can use for live that is effective? Thanks
I upgraded the RAM to 1 gig and reinstalled everything, even XP. But CEP keeps getting this error after I close CEP.
"CEP has encountered a problem and needs to close"
under details it says this file will be included in this error report...
I am using the Line 6 gear box and getting a level there, but I can't seem to find out how to point that to CEP. I check Device properties and order and they seem correct. Line 6 is selected in both Wave In and Out. Any ideas?
I would LOVE to be able to be in CEP and press play, and Reason 3.0 also plays, same tempo, all lining up with each other. Is there any way to do this?
I am having several issues with CE and my PC. (PC display setting issues, CE crashing constantly, Error about sound drivers, ext)

I press the space bar and also use the mouse to activate play, but nothing. It plays in the waveform view but not Multitrack. I tried restarting and opening a new session and coming back in case it was some random glitch, I also searched help and this forum for related issues but still nothing...
This happened after I "Opened a waveform" (.MP3) from my desktop and inserted it into multitrack. After it rebooted, it said "CE crashed due to sound drivers, to prevent this from happening again we will turn them off". Problem is that it keeps on crashing when playing the MP3. When I don't have...
I want to sequence my drums on Reason. I am going to import my track I mixed down to Reason 3.0 to do drums. Ideally, after I do this, the tempos should all hit on the right spots, correct? (I used a metronome in CEP)
Not sure how to word that question properly. But I am veiwing by bars/beats (and recording to metronome). And I noticed were it says "At", it shows me my wave postition at any given time.
Well I want to move waves to other locations, I figured it would be as easy as sequencing and locating the...
Hi, I am brand new to Cool Edit and very excited so far with it. But have run into some snags. When I use Punch in, I have trouble turning it off. As in after using my Punch In, I can't record anywere else on the track unless I highlight another area again and select Punch in again. I cannot...
I find all my files in the wave table to the left of Cool Edits layout tend to add up fast. Many files that were just retakes or were files are underneath new files hiding and not being used. I would like to keep only the files I am using in there, what is the most efficient way to clean these...
I will be recording to the Line 6 toneport (arriving tommorrow), but I have no soundcard for my Desktop. I realize I dont need the soundcard to record and get great sounds. But I will need it for playback I assume. How cheap can I go on the soundcard w it still sounding great for playback and...
I am new to soundcards and computer based recording. I am currently going to purchase the Line 6 toneport UX2. I am running out of Win XP. My buddy has a similar rig and bought a $300 soundcard. His rig sounds great, but do I need to go that expensive for a great soundcard? Any suggestions on...
I want to direct out into a mixer, so I can monitor out of my mixer with headphones. But the Mesa Dual Rec, has no "direct out". On the back of my head I have different OHM options and 2 of them are 8 OHMs, 1 of the 8 OHMs "outs" is going to my cab. Would it be possible to direct out into my...
any good gig worthy combos out there anyone can recomend? Also I noticed my mesa 3 channel's distortion didnt break up like i wanted it to. So I ran my metal zone though it to get some extra crunch. I am considering possible just getting a clean amp and using my pedal for distortion. Any pro's...
Are there any Units out there, That will not Gate the Hiss out of my Signal, But will remove it completely, or at least minimize it more when Im playing?
I just hooked up my pedals through my Effects Loop, And it makes a World of a difference as far as noise. But I lost many functions on my pedals now. My Gate/Pan stopped working, The Wah sounds weak, and my Dry/Wet ratio is Null on my Pitch-shifter.
I have 2 knobs on the back of my Amp to tweak...
When you are setting up pedals, I know to put the Wah generally first and Delays generally last, but weres first start? From the Amp or from the Guitar?
Is it.......
AMP > First pedal > Second > Guitar.
Or do they consider it...
Guitar > First Pedal > 2nd Pedal > Amp
Thanks!
