than recording a moog to tape...my friends think i'm crazy because i'm slowing moving from my mac computer to my tascam 38 r2r...anymore i just sit in my back bedroom recording my two moogs to 1/2" tape...i haven't even played guitar or drums in forever it seems...i'm just having to much phatty...

for quantegy 456...i have a tascam 38 8 track that is set up for 456 and i've only got 4 reels of the stuff left...from what i understand RMGI is the only tape available??? if so, what kind would i get to work with my tascam if it's setup for quantegy 456...thanks for any help

hey, i fired up my 388 this weekend and noticed that right when i turned it on a little silver piece (i don't know what it's called) down on the right side of the headstock was spinning...does this little piece always spin when the machine is on...even when nothing was in play or record mode...

does anybody use these mics any more...what application are you using them for...i picked up three of them at a local studio for $30 but they are a low gain mic so i'm not sure what to use them on...

are there outputs on the 424mkiii that allow you to send all four tracks out and into another recorder so that each track is still it's own track and not a stereo mixdown...would there be any problems sending the tracks out this way into a roland vs1824 and remixing them there
