What about an amoeba? Zero heartbeats.

So a person who does high-impact exercise regularly (faster heart beat stuff) is going to die sooner than the fat slob who sits on the sofa all day long munching potato chips delivered by the PeaPod truck because he collects disability and doesn't have to do anything?

But fit people have a slower rest heart rate, so it balances out. Maybe.

The fat slob who sits on the sofa has a higher heart rate (maybe 60 to 100 bpm) throughout each day. The person who exercises usually has a lower rate, (maybe 40 to 70,) because a healthy heart becomes more efficient and thus, lasts longer.

It doesn't add up. (unless I totally messed up the math)
Use 70 beats per minute as a 'statistical average'.
70bpm - 36,792,000 beats per year. 1.5 billion divided by 36,792,000 = 40.77 years. You'd have to average your heart rate below 40bpm for your whole lifetime to live into your 70s.

Half +- of your life is in the bed asleep with a lower heart rate.

Any mic you buy will be perfectly suited to your needs, until you use it long enough to learn that it's not.

Half your life? Pretty easy life you got up there in New Hampster!

I said 'average' of 70bpm. Dr. K. Krauchi, in a study reported in "Neuropsychopharmacology" (2001), detected an average drop from 64 to 52 beats per minute, about 8 percent, by the end of his subjects' gradual sleep onset.

    It still doesn't add up.

Am lucky to get 6 hours of sleep in. Probably average 4!

OK then ... how about all of those drunken comas? They surly have to add up.
