I've never liked the sound you get recording an acoustic with a pick-up. Mic it at the 12th fret and about 2 feet back and you should be able to get a nice, warm stereo sound. Good luck!

Hey, I just bought a Sennheiser 441U mic from a pawn shop, and it came with the box, but no specs or anything. What's the pattern on this thing, and what's it best used on? This is my first "pro" mic, and I want to get the most out of it.

I just got this old Advent mic pre amp (Model MPR-1) and it's supposed to have a power supply with it, but it doesn't. Does anyone know anything about this thing, and if so, can I get a power supply for it at like Radio Shack or something?
