    Carvin Dynamics?

    I just got the new Carvin catalog and they have a new line of dynamic drum mics. Normally I wouldn't even consider it, but these mics are VERY inexpensive. I think the kick mic is like $50. Has anyone tried them, or are they too new? I imagine they are some chinese copies of AKG or Shure...

    I know how much you guy's love non-scientific mic evaluations, so here is another:D I just tried the MXL 1006 and the Oktava MK-219 here at work. First impressions are; 1006; facing the capsule-very, very bright. Some, but not a lot, of proximity effect. Reminds me of the 2001 (not good)...
