This is a problem that started only just recently. Whenever I try to test my ASIO audio sync with Cubase not running it runs through smoothly, but when Cubase is running or I try to record I ALWAYS lose the sync. I have RAM and disk space to spare, anyone have any ideas?
Classical composing is a lot fun if you know what you're doing... I'm a rock'n'roll junkie at heart though, so everything I write like that is arranged for guitars (oddly played) basses and slightly out of tune pianos... hey, whatever gets your "rocks" off...
I just noticed a thread the other day about the new Cubase upgrade. Honestly, I didn't even know there was one so I was kinda pleasantly suprised to find this out. I downloaded it, I installed it and everything went smoothly. I reboot, go to start up a song I've been working on and I get the...
I used AT as a way to make up for myself having an untrained singing voice. I forget which version I had but I experienced the same thing when notes were very uneven to begin with. I heard someone else say that it also happened when notes were "too even." I can't validate this statement, I...
I don't have much (any) experience in rap myself but I can give you a few tips on how I write songs. Sometimes I start with lyrics, sometimes with music. When I've got lyrics first try to sing them to yourself to get what kind of melody they make. It sounds like you're talking about more...
Huge fan of concept albums... let me think of the ones I can still think of... ;)
As far as Floyd goes:
THE WALL
Animals (personal favorite)
Pros and Cons of Hitch-Hiking -- Actually Roger Waters solo
Amused to Death -- ditto
Beyond Floyd:
Radiohead - OK Computer
Pumpkins - Machina (took...
Ok katz, dig this... I've sequenced the perfect midi track to go along with an audio recording I'm doing. I'm well aware that when I go to export this track to a file or to a tape machine the midi won't be there with it...unless...[enter VST Instruments] I use the the "Universal Sound Module"...
This might be a dumb question, but I'm new. I have a project (song) that has both digitaly recorded audio, and sequenced MIDI tracks on in it. Now my question is, how do I export both of these to the same final file (.wav, .mp3, etc.)? It seems everytime I use the standard export audio...
I know this isn't normally what pitch shifting effects are used for, but I'd like some sort of gear that could constantly detune a signal 200 cents or so. Almost simulating drop tuning, most I've seen actually play the note while it's dropping, so you can hear the pitch shift, that's not what...
If you want my 2 cents, I bought the Snarling Dogs bass wah and I can't recommend it. It's very difficult to click on for a bass wah, it gets too much effect for too little response, in my opinion, and it's very clicky and trebbly. It's a real tone killer no matter where it's set. I'm going...
Ok, probably a dumb question but I'm looking for a until to plug my bass, and guitar if possible into (preferably the same one) and then be able to plug it into my computer or recording station. When I do that directly from my amp it comes out with no sound or it clips no matter when if I do...
I was trying to figure out a way to record (via direct input) my bass. I know mics are probably the better way to go, even through I've heard mixed reports, but I've heard that a DI box is the way to record like this??? Being that when I use my line out (unamplifed) from my amp it never...
