    DP-02 live session

I recently used the DP-02Cf to record a bluegrass jam session. The quality of the recording is not bad. My only problem was organizing the the songs, since it was basically catch on the fly there wasn't much chance for saving. When I got a break I tried to save some files but apparently they...

    Dp02 usb hd

I'm sure you're right. Another thought is buying a less expensive laptop an using primarily as a harddrive. My thinking is the specs wouldn't have to be great since it would not actually be used to record.

I'm sure this would be to good to be true but, is it possible to use a USB harddrive with a DP02CF?

    Alesis MultiMix Firewire 8

I might have recorded two hours with mine using the firewire connection, then it just refused to work. Replaced cable, reinstalled drivers (a daily task) tried it on different computers and still no go. I say run the other way!

    Multimix16 f/w setup

From the Alesis web site I would like to route audio from the computer to the MultiMix, apply the MultiMix’s EQ and digital effects, and then record this audio back to the computer. Is that possible? This is possible, but it requires some additional cabling. 1. Turn the HEADPHONE/CONTROL ROOM...

Alesis Multimix Firewire and Echo Layla/Vegas

I think the firewire will work fine with Vegas but, I'm not sure the Firewire and Layla will "coexist". Are you just wanting more "ins"?

    Alesis Multimix8 and PC req'ments

I bought the Multimix8 FW in March. It is connected my my "modified" Dell 4700 Pentium 4 2.99 Ghz 2 G of ram running XP. The appears to be more than enough to power the multimix. I believe it is recomended to use the Multimix as your only sound card. I'm sure a hard drive needs to be as fast...

    firewire mixers, individual tracks?

I own an Alesis Multimix 8 Firewire and it will record 8 "tracks" simultaneously. I have had a continuing problem with the drivers though, they on occasion will disappear calling for a reinstall. It sounds good though. I would definitely look into the Phonic Helix.

    Another MultiMix thread...

Do you have the firewire version? If not, I think two in's to the computer is all you have. Also, there is possibly another dropdown in the audio input window. :)

    Multimix 37th reinstall!!

Update Just received this from Alesis. Hello, I would recommend updating to the latest drivers from off our website. Before doing so, the old Multimix drivers would need to be uninstalled from the Windows Control Panel> Add/ Remove programs section. Anything that has the words...

    Multimix 37th reinstall!!

I have just reinstalled my Multimix 8 Firewire for the umpteenth time. The manual specifies a shutdown (and startup sequence) which is:Multimix first then computer and reverse for shutdown. As a general rule I don't shut down my computer so why do I lose the Multimix? Sometimes a clock reset...

    Presonus Inspire

Is the Inspire powered on? Depending on your setup I think sometimes they can be powered through the firewire cable other situations have to use the AC adapter. :)
