ANyone ever use (heard of) Digital Orchestra Pro?
My recording partner wants to use it b/c he's more familiar with it than Cakewalk..I'm scared b/c I've never even heard of it, nor do I ever hear you guys mention it...
A buddy I'm recording with (we haven't started yet) wants to use Digital Orchestra Pro instead of Cakewalk b/c he's never used Cakewalk. Has anybody heard of D.O.P and why should we use Cakewalk 9 instead?
So I'm recording in a room that has carpet floors and a low wood ceiling. Should I put up blankets on the ceiling or will that deaden the sound? Will the drums be O.K on carpet or should I buy a sheet of wood or something to put them on?

Ok, we're recording in a smaller sized room (18X18) with thick curtain and heavy carpet on walls/ceiling for sound treatment and I'm just wondering a couple things...
1.) Should I face the drums towards a corner or towards the center of the room?

I'm thinking about buying these monitors, my pal at the guitarr shop said he'd match GC's price.
Anyway, has anybody used these and what do you think of them?
I also got som AKG-44 headphones...will these do the trick or should I invest in someting better?

My wife bought me a Schecter Hellcat for xmas and I'm loving it. Anyone else got one of these bad boys>? It's like a vamped up Mustang... Looks awesome on stage as well.
Can I use two 57's for the overheads and a 57 for the snare?
i know the 57 is good for the snare but what about the overheads?
I also have 58's. WOuld they work better as overheads?
Also do I need a clip-on condender thing for the snare mic or can i just use a boom to mic the snare?
