    Hypochonria

That's pretty cool. Clever lyrics. No nits....well maybe...I'd like the percussion back just a tad.

More post-punk from me: "Motorcade" by Magazine.

That's got good energy. I like the mix balance and the tone throughout. The two chords kind of wear on me though. The tempo change helps with that.

    New Song "Come With Me"

Great space and clarity. I wish it had more edge to it though. More energy. It improved throughout the three mixes I listened to...but it's still sounding pretty processed to me.

    We're The Boys! (Blitz)

It's pretty good. The rhythm guitars to the side sound a bit over processed (squashed) enough to drain energy from the mix. If there's a lot of compression of those in the mix I'd try to minimize or eliminate it to get the energy level up a notch on those. and yes...drums down a bit...vocal up.

Simple Critique - Pigs On The Wing (Pt1) electric cover

I like it better than the original....the guitar tone kind of sucked on the original. Probably should have more reverb on your vocals to get closer to the feel of the original....but it's ok the way it is.

    I Do with BroKen_H - V2

I agree with the dry vocal but I think the primary issue is the lack of lo-mid...it sounds pretty thin. I think the piano battles with the vocal a little. Chords instead of the arpeggios during the vocals might work better. It's not bad the way it is at all. Try bringing back the piano in the...

    "Stay".... trial mix no. 1

Maybe compress the vocal....just to get it up a tad in the mix...just a little. The guitar work is great.

    Home-made Nirvana Cover.

Nirvana (maybe all grunge) was basically...energy and anxious tension. The drums and vocals lack those qualities. Listening to the original...it's all there. Simply getting the drums up in the mix might help them. Idk...I'm not a drum guy. They aren't very present here. The vocal lacks energy...

original- Who'll Stop the rain- 2 parts

Thought it was going to be cover but it was nice when it wasn't. I agree with the tambourine...it's a bit oppressive in the mix. I'm not overly fond of acoustic guitars panned out like that...but the tone is very nice on them. The bass could be more defined....to isolate it more in the mix...

    A song about Jupiter

Nicer mix. Much tamer kick...which was my only real nit. :)

    A song about Jupiter

I like the creativity. The guitar tones are perfect. The kick is beating on me pretty hard...as if it was mixed to be a lead instrument. Other than that the mix is very good.

Sad Lisa - Cat Steven's cover

For this mix I seriously bumped the lo-mids and the highs to try to attack the boxiness that people mentioned. I hope I didn't go too far. I hit it pretty hard. The bg vocs came down a little and I tried to warm up the main guitar track. https://soundcloud.com/stuart-gort/sad-lisa

That's funny...I liked some of John Zorn's stuff. I had a boss who was kind of a beatnik and he was a fan. Not that Zorn's was beatnik music necessarily....just that the boss had some eclectic tastes and it rubbed off...being forced to listen to it...lol.

I noticed that you actually improved your technique at doing the lip trumpets over time. In that regard, it was interesting to me. The voice trumpets DO raise the question of what's going to be generally appreciated by other people. Making music can be very personal and yet most people seek...

I love it...it's creative, different, while maintaining your style. I liked the vocal slapback...there's plenty of room for it. The synth lead was unexpected and welcome. I'm glad you aren't doing the voice trumpets on this one too. That's cool but it's also good not to make that a signature...
