That link works for me for some reason..
I've been downsizing a bit having just recently sold an Avalon 737sp that belongs with someone who will actually have time to use it.
I don't expect the same performance of the Avalon for 1/3rd the cost but but I'm hoping for it'll perform well...
You could take a chance on this one too but it looks like it's been very poorly cared for..

I just received one bought off ebay advertised as an A-90 and confirmed via telephone that it did not have the VE-RD1 option that I would be adding later. Much to my suprise the unit powers up and it is in fact an A-90ex w/VE-RD1 but only shows 64 voices, not the 128 it's supposed to have...
I did the search and I see people trashing it left and right as poorly manufactured, using cheap components and comparing it to units that cost as little as $200 or less..
I was really hoping for some reasonable feedback from someone other than DAV #1 shill and the other barnacles on this...
I was ready to move on one of these about a year ago then decided on an Avalon instead, the results were great and now I'm think of adding another quality pre-amp.
Why buy the DAV or which other 2 channel makes may be a better value in the $300-$800 price range?
And what point could that possibly be? When I'm about to make a important purchase I want all views and opinions on it, good and bad. And especially if I'm having a problem with something not working right, again..., I would appreciated any and all info that might help me solve that problem...
Let me see... offering somone info that might be pertanant to a problem still not solved 3 pages into a thread is "useless and irresponsible"??? (That's not what the person looking for help said..)
Excuse me for mistaking this forum for a place people could exchange feedback and opinions on...
It won't be doing any traveling, it'll remain in the studio it was bought for. I know it's not the best unit but did offer alot for my price range.
What kind of potential problems should I be concerned about?
I'm not so much apposed to an extended warrentee at all but am more concerned...
It's for the studio I'm using and I expect a huge improvement in piano and an orchrastra soundbank that is actually usable..
Music123 want to sell me an extended warrentee for about $150.. It's 2 year extended with complete coverage but the in-house type that I'm always wary of..
Anyone...
