I'm with Terra... works like a charm when exporting individual tracks from one program to another. I've gone to/from CakeWalk, MAGIX, Audacity and Sony ACID using this method with no timing problems whatsoever.

check your sampling rate i find that my soundcard has a native sampling rate of 48kHz and if i set the sample rate at 44.1kHz to match CD standard, my tracks would go out of sync....

I think (may be wrong) that soundfonts only work with Creative Labs - SoundBlaster type sound cards. I have a SoundBlaster Audigy SE card and it uses soundfonts and comes with soundfont bank manager type software. I've purchased some professional soundfonts and they all seem to be geared for use...

The Audigy SE card can record at 24 bit up to 96kHz and has a signal-to-noise ratio of 100dB - not bad for $30. Mine works just fine.....

Final update Okay guys I just got an email from CakeWalk and they tell me that Music Creator 3 does indeed use dithering when converting a file down to 16 bit 44.1 kHz. No truncating, so the files should sound fine when converted. Thanks to you all, I now know a lot more about this whole...
