I know a lot of people say, when eqing never boost, just cut!
but anyways, are there some eq's out there that handle boosting frequencies well without getting ridiculous amounts of phase shifting?
thanks

Hi there,
Sorry for the extreme novice question but i need some help setting up my new golden age pre 73.

Say i have a bassline audio clip which is sits mainly in the higher bass frequencies (400-500hz), i want to be able to create a new track with the same bassline audio clip and change the pitch so that i can lower it an octave and have it playing at the same tempo just filling out the low end...
Hi there,
Looking to buy a decent preamp. Now then i produce dance music and they only reason i want a preamp is to plug a mic into and record vocals, so i guess im looking for just a single channel pre with phantom power (2 channel at most). I have done some research but are there many quality...
I make house music and I want to begin adding vocals.
Now then, I have had no experience with incorporating vocals into my music so I would love some help.
Now then I don't know if there is a difference when writing lyrics for house music as opposed to rock for example?
Do most people go...
I am now starting in the art of recording vocals.
I am just wondering how good some of your guys vocal recordings sound before they have been mixed and processed and tweaked etc etc.

I have just got my friends imac with logic 8 off him. Now then, he had some nice AU's like the T racks plugins on his imac........am i able to transfer them onto my macbook pro running ableton?
I have the T racks classic eq and compressor, and i know they are designed for mastering purposes. But if i put one in my bassline track or my vocals track, would it greatly improve the quality of the individual track (used correctly of course) like it would when these plugins are applied to the...
