Budget would be up to $500-ish.
I don't want to spend $500 just to say I spent $500, but if it makes a difference over something cheaper, I'm willing to spend it. :)
Does anyone want to recommend a great little TUBE mic preamp?
I am currently using a Rode K2 mic into an FMR Audio RNP preamp. I'd like to look at some tube pre-amps for a little warmth since about 98% of our recording at home is for vocals. Only need a couple channels. Pretty much all Rock...
Hi guys.
Just started playing around with Band In A Box. Can anyone recommend a good software synth? Mostly rock style music. Looking for realism (of course). The freebee that comes with BIAB (Roland VSC DXi) sounds "ok" but some things, like guitar, sound like the old midi music.
Thanks much.
Lightscribe
I like it even though it's greyscale on "gold". My issue with labels is that they eventualy seem to come off in someones CD player. I know some places/companies won't even play a CD if it has a sticky label on it.
The speed issue is annoying. Current Lightscribe software is limited...
Hey guys.
If you copyright/register your song, can you later make changes to it and still be covered? How much, or little, change make it a "different" song from a copyright registered standpoint?
Thanks.
Hey guys.
There is a (factory) patch on my XP-10 that doesn't exist on my XP-30. I'd like to port it. I am fairly technical but this type of thing is new to me.
1) is this easy & how?
2) are there copyright (or other) issues because it is a factory patch?
I'm not against getting an expansion...
Hey guys.
Bought some used keyboards. Nice boards, but definitely used for gigging. No problem, that's my intent. But how can I get rid of the smoke smell?
Thanks.
Hey guys.
Playing live, using a friends KC500 as a monitor plus line out to the club PA. Yikes, the hum. Tried both 1/4 inch out and XLR out from the amp. What a racket (even into a DI box). I thought the XLR would take care of the hum. We always have noise issues using the amp line out. I...
Hey guys.
Opinions vary, but I'm looking for suggestions on a great keyboard amp. If not a model, at least a brand name?
Uses:
- rehearsal at home
- as my monitor for gigs (club PA handles the audience)
Requirements:
- minimum 3 inputs plus XLR for mic
- great sound with full, lush sound range...
Anyone know if a Roland XP-10 has a place to save "favorites".
I don't need to change and save any settings, I'd just like to save about 6 to 10 in one sequential location for fast access.
Any help appreciated. :)
Juno-G
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. :) Great sound reproduction for all instruments (wind, string, etc.) plus easy, quick controls to switch sounds, without the added price of a high end recording unit, etc. in-board.
