Although I tinker with guitar, my primary thing is being a vocalist. And for the sake of practicing / vocal exercising, I'd be interested in singing some songs of the vocalists that have influenced me which I can do now as a sing along. But, I'd like to be able to take their lead vocals out so...

If one is playing backing tracks / accompaniment tracks where the music is originating from a PC into a PA system... and the vocals are going thru the PA system (not the PC)... what options are there for doing some decent recording of both the music source and the vocals where both can flow...

OK, so if you had say $300 to $500 to spend on a mixing board... which one would you recommend as being the best one to get for the money in this price range?
