Using 2 BCF2000 in BabyHui Mode in Pro Tools 12 on Windows 10

Hi there, Where mah Windows and Pro Tools guys at?!?! lol HELP!... I have had and used successfully 2 BCF2000 units for the last 6-7 years on my mid-2011 Apple imac. They worked great in getting me 16 channels of control faders (each unit was plugged into it's own USB port) in Pro Tools 9, 10...

I/O Greyed out on track inserts drop-down in PT11 Mac

Hi there, I am on PT 11 (trying to switch over from PT10), on a 2011 imac w/ Mountain Lion and an Echo Audiofire12 firewire interface. It works fine in PT10, but in PT11, I can't choose from my i/o menu to, say, use a piece of outboard gear as an insert like I would use a plugin. The i/o...

Added a lovely addition to the pack...another GAP Pre 73 Mk ii from my lovely wife as an early Christmas gift!

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Hooked up a little boom box which is away from the mix position and not facing me. It is wired into my monitoring setup, so I have yet another reference point before any audio leaves the studio. With all my other reference points, I never bothered setting it up because i already use other...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Even though I have a steel door on the place, I still wanted more isolation, so I added a sheet of drywall to the face of the door and adhered it using Green Glue "soundproofing" glue. So in essence I added two more layers to the door. Then i covered it in acoustic foam I had laying around...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

I added some up-lighting from behind/under the mix desk. It adds even more warm gushiness to the vibe of this place when the main lights are off. Super cool vibe going down here now, especially with the addition of floor lamps on either side of the drums with yellow light bulbs. No need for...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

My lovely wife bought me some Himalayan Salt Rock lamps to add to the decor and give it some cool ambiance (when main lights turned off). Aside from cool (warm) looks, they also have a few health benefits I choose to believe as true! Haha!

Haha yeah! Actually I have no need for more gobos (see the 4'x4'x6" beasts below). And screw ebay! lol. I'll put em on the Canadian version of craiglist called kijiji: Kijiji: Free Classifieds in Canada. Find a job, buy a car, find a house or apartment, furniture, appliances and more!. And I...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Because you can never have too much bass trapping... I added two 4" thick OC703 bass traps (2'x2.5' each) behind the mix desk in the floor/wall corner. They just sit there so they are easy movable if I need to get back there to fiddle around, but I have a patchbay and a mic snake to avoid all...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Thanks guys! I just had to report my latest find at a weekend flea market!...a Shure M68 "microphone mixer" circa late 50's-60's for a measly $10. I've heard of these things having a Shure "Level-Loc" (refer to the Soundtoys remake plugin 'Devil Loc') sort of limiting when pushed and can be...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

95% Complete! Welp! I guess things have pretty much almost come to a close at DDS as far as construction goes. The last things I have left to do are build two mini bass traps (2.5'x2'x4") with materials I already have, to straddle the wall/floor corner behind desk. During tracking, they will...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Been a bit since an update!............... Things have been moving a long a little a day at a time and I'm just about done, although i didn't want to take any pics of the full room because I'm so close to adding the finishing touches, I'd rather not share anything more until I am done. BUT...

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Filled some voids on ceiling above mix position and on front wall with some extra foam and an extra diffuser I had lying around. Gear gets moved in next! Then I will finish hanging the rest of the 6 remaining clouds as well as the rest of all the wall diffuser panels.

    Re-location/build of Diesel Dungeon Studio!

Got the the mix position ceiling clouds up. Two 2" thick OC703 panels. They are attached with eyebolts/anchors in the ceiling and eyebolts in the panels, secured with zip ties. I wanted a wider sweet spot, so I spaced these a little further apart than one would expect. In the middle void where...
