I'm interested in soldering my own guitar cables. Can anyone recommend the best materials I can get to make noise free cables? I need a few for the pedal board (4 about 6") and 2 20". Do the longer ones need to be made of balanced cable? Thanks

I recently replaced the stock tubes for my ART Gold mic preamp. There is one 12ax7 per channel (2). I don't really know much about biasing. Do I need to re-bias the preamp to keep the tubes from burning out or sounding like crap? Right now they seem to sound good.

I just plugged up my new presonus firebox tonite and there is a lot of hissing. Its wierd because when I move the side scroll in a window it will make a noise. When I took the power cord out of my computer the noise stopped. Anyone ever experience this? Is there a remedy for it? Thanks

Hey, I've got an ART MPA Gold coming in the mail. I've heard suggestions to change out the stock tubes for a much better sound. What are 2 different tubes I can get for 50 bucks total (less preferably) that have noticeably better quality than those stock tubes? Am I going too cheap?
