I am a podcaster that reviews other podcasts. If you know of a great podcast, please let me know. And because I review other podcasts, my podcast has to be perfect.
I also just got a Fender bass guitar... So I will need to learn about recording that as well.
I'm thinking about using a Tascam DR-40 to record the podcast. But I purchased this mixer because it had USB.
Will Guitar Center let me return it after two weeks?
Please disregard the recording settings. I recorded both on another PC using Reaper and then exported the files into this computer, and then used Audacity to see if there was any difference.
I have a question about recording from my MG10XU mixer.
In the image below, the top (lasttest) is recorded with a Rode Procaster going through an MG10XU mixer USB with gain set to max.
The bottom (hwhl1) is recorded with a Blue Yeti USB with gain set to 5.
When I play them back, the bottom...
I worked with Yamaha support and they explained how to get the largest signal. But it is still not nearly what I want. Even at full gain and yelling in the microphone, I can't get the channel LED to flash.

I had a Blue Yeti and when using Audacity or Reaper the sound was great. It would record between 1 and -1 on the audio track. After I set up the MG10XU and tried to record, it was between about .2 and -.2...
