    New Members: Introduce Yourself Here!

Hello :drunk: I am a podcaster that reviews other podcasts. If you know of a great podcast, please let me know. And because I review other podcasts, my podcast has to be perfect. I also just got a Fender bass guitar... So I will need to learn about recording that as well.

Recording Rode Podcaster MG10XU USB vs Blue Yeti USB

I'm thinking about using a Tascam DR-40 to record the podcast. But I purchased this mixer because it had USB. Will Guitar Center let me return it after two weeks?

Recording Rode Podcaster MG10XU USB vs Blue Yeti USB

Please disregard the recording settings. I recorded both on another PC using Reaper and then exported the files into this computer, and then used Audacity to see if there was any difference.

Recording Rode Podcaster MG10XU USB vs Blue Yeti USB

    Yamaha MG10XU low recording sound

I will try the comp at zero. Yes, the Steinberg driver shows in the DAW application. I had a Blue Yeti and when using Audacity or Reaper the sound was great. It would record between 1 and -1 on the audio track. After I set up the MG10XU and tried to record, it was between about .2 and -.2...

    Yamaha MG10XU low recording sound

I have an MG10XU mixer and while recording in a DAW such as Audacity and Reaper, the recording volume is very low. I have installed the latest driver on a Win 10 system, selected both the record and speakers as line MG XU and volume 100. I have tried both Heil PR40 and Rode Procaster...
