I am a drummer of 35 plus years. I have been through all the recording formats for drums from 2" 24trk's in the 80's to the fizzy dry world of computer recording. Gone back to good old tape for the real sound. Sorry but I have never heard a natural drum sound recorded digitally that I have been happy with.
