You can also trying putting some ferrite doughnuts on each end of your patch cables. Only one or two loops around the doughnut will suffice.

I have the Art Tube MP preamp and it works well for me. If you can get by with only pre it will do the job. Plenty of gain and has a built in limiter that might be useful on certain things.

Look at the new Tascam 16x8. I have the older US-1800 and I love it. Pre's are not premo but the are very good for an large combo type of interface. The extra 4 outputs might come in hand someday.

Swap the monitors and see if the problem follows that monitor to the left or if it stays on the right side. That can help you prove that it is indeed that monitor or if it is a signal issue with your amp or whatever is feeding them.

I have the older Tascam us-1800 which has 14 analog and 2 digital inputs and 4 outs. I have no problem using it with an older desktop running XP. Works great for me. I've recorded my band with all the inputs a hummin' without any usb issues. Hope this helps
