    Mix This - "Already Here"

Yes, please. I'd love to have both the wave and the Reaper file. It would be a great educational experience. Would you like to temporarily upload them onto your or my Google or iCloud drive? I will PM you with my Gmail / iCloud account id. If I open it in Reaper, are there any additional/3rd...

@TalismanRich Wow. Yes, you have nailed it. Thanks so much for sticking with it. In the spirit of this forum, I will be happy to give feedback if anyone else decides to do a mix, but as far as I'm concerned, this is the one.

Also, I'm having trouble hearing the Slow Attack Piano. It's just texture, but it's important texture. I've uploaded an updated stem that mutes out during the last chorus when so much else is going on any way. Fixed/Uploaded Cello-Marshall-DoubleBassDoubling.wav stem by adding a noise gate...

    Mix This - "Already Here"

@TalismanRich I think we’ve come a long way. I'm liking most of what I'm hearing. I have a lot to say in my comments below about the technicalities that might come across as overly negative, but I really want to emphasise that I really like your mixes. I feel like I’m asking for everything on...

    Mix This - "Already Here"

So here is my feedback on the 2 most recent mixes. I have written some thoughts below, but bear in mind that these are both already far better than I could ever produce. Also, I have re-uploaded my rough mix as it almost entirely excluded the cello solo bits before. So.. @TalismanRich Mix 1a...

    Mix This - "Already Here"

Considering the fact that you both spent your own time on the song, I feel like it's not really enough to just say "good" (though they are). So I will listen to them out loud on speakers and give proper feedback tomorrow.

Listening back to my rough mix, I hear what you mean about the distortion.

    Mix This - "Already Here"

OK... I guess I overshot on keeping levels low to allow headroom. Were all the stems too low or only certain ones? Which were distorted? What would be a good RMS level to export them at, or should I just normalize them on export? It's not problem for me to fix some of this stuff and re-upload...

I have replaced all tracks with dry versions now. BPM: 79 Key:C (with some accidentals)

    Mix This - "Already Here"

They're all completely dry except for a little reverb on Double Bass (but not staccato), synth choir and French horn and a little chorus on violas. Would you like me to upload completely dry tracks for those?

    Mix This - "Already Here"

Hi.. I'm Back. I've been writing and recording a lot lately. Here's the first song that's ready for mixing. It's called Already Here. NOTES: There are 2 difrerent Cello parts. One is the cello's own part, and one is doubling the double bass. Each was close miked with Marshall condenser mic and...

Mix this: An original called "Second Best"

You know, every once in a while I pop back by to see how people are doing with this, and I'm amazed to see more mixes. Kind of touching really. I am constantly amazed how many mixes can be created from the same base tracks. So.. a little feedback for @Miguelo081 Did you ever revisit this with...

    completely diy pop-punkish album

I really like it! It sounds very professional. EDIT: To anyone having a listen, I definitely recomment listening directly on spotify. The quality on the sample tracks above is not representative. And thanks for the brilliant mix of my song. :-)

How to figure the song of a tune from a recorded snippet of audio?

You might try Sound Hound. Their claim to fame was you could hum or whistle a tune and it would work it out. Sounds just like what your trying to do.
