I recently visited a friend who uses Wavelab Montages to do his MultiTracking. I was under the inpression that even a cheapo REAL multitracker can make things easier for laying down/mixing wav files. So... What can Real Multitracking software do that Wavelab's Montage cannot? Or... can you...
What sort of fire-resistant 'safe' or storage container is best for holding backed-up CD's. Specifically, can certain metals or locations affect the longevity of my data when I use green/blue-dye or gold discs? AND, can anyone here tell me how long the data lasts on CD's with different dyes...

Is it a "sound" idea to convert .wav files into .zip files in order to conserve space on the hard drive or for backup data cd's? I just wonder if there will be any change to the integrity of the original data when converting back to .wav files. If anyone has tried...
