    j-station

By a '4 headed cable' I mean a cable which has at one end, a 5 pin Midi IN head and a 5 pin midi OUT head (male and female?) and at the other end, the same... To put it simply; the 2 midi ports on the J are identical to the midi ports on my soundcard, how would I link these up? How do you guys...

    j-station

Midi cables?!?! I have had my j-station for nearly a year now (!!!), and am in love with the thing! It's simply amazing! However I have a slight problem hooking up the midi ports to my pc. I have an Audiophile 24/96 soundcard which has the midi in and out ports, identical to the ones on the...

    Direct input guitar help please!

this could help.....level settings This may or may not be of use to you..... I have personally experienced a similar 'hissing' low, distortion sound when going through my j-station to my audiophile 2496, although these are different cards and pre amps the same rule may apply. The hissing...

Looking into buying a new effects processor.

Yep, I would definatley go for the J-station as it is 1) cheap 2)bloody amazing and 3)got all the features you could ever want. But then again everyone has there own preferences, and it is for this reason that i think you should go and try out as many different effects systems with your own...

Achy Old Fingers - any advice ???

I hate to be the one to say it but it could be *dum dum duuuummmmmm* arthrightious (or how ever you spell it!) Don't crack your fingers and try a few simple excercises. For instance get a bowl of water, not at all warm, just cold tap water will do, not too cold mind, and gently move your...

J Station Suggestions and Operating techniques

I'd pretty much agree with what Tom said. It all depends on what sound you want. But the presets are pretty damn amazing, and there's software provided which easily lets you tweak settings.

What do you guy's do with your thumbs???

Well after watching what my thumb does extensively, i have noticed that i take up a very odd position when playing. The middle part of my thumb becomes the only part touching the back of the neck, thus meaning when i am playing bar chords or soloing, the whole pressure (espec. on bar chords) is...

What do you guy's do with your thumbs???

Cheers guy's. I'll keep a watch on my thumbs activities tonight, see what i can change. It's usually just when i play power chords that it aches, and when i am scalling, espec when using all 4 fret fingers moving up and down the neck, my thumb gets stuck horizontally. I think this is because...

What do you guy's do with your thumbs???

I was playing my beloved guitar last night, and wondered how i could prevent the ache's you get in your thumb when playing stuff like power chords, and fast scales, which move your playing hand up and down the neck like a yo-yo. Is there any tricks to strengthen your thumb? or any way to...
