Having been fortunate enough to record some of Southend's finest artists for over 20 years, I thought it a good idea to let people have a listen.

I have been a musician since 1982 and have been a founder member of many notable ...bands such as : Foreheads in a Fishtank, The Receeders, Sgt Graves and Roman Jugg's The Doomed. I have also been recording bands since 1991. During that time I have had the privilege of recording some of Southend's finest : David Woodcock For Blow Up Records, Phil Burdet for Drumfire Records, (Dunfearing and the West Country High, Good For Mr Bad Hat, By The Time I Get Tomorrow), Roman Jugg (Papa Loco), Roy Mette (Vibralism, Live and Loud, 12 Bars and the Blues, Three and Five, Pirates), Dave Dulake (Butterfingers, Sans Fairy Anne), Russ Strutter (About Time 1 & 2 featuring: Wilco Johnson, Barry Masters), Kiss Me Quick, China White, Arcadian Driftwood, Howling Black Soul, Cusack (Mildsensations), T-Rextacy (White Christmas EP), plus many, many more. I am also still playing in (and recording) two great bands Those Men and The Lamps. The studio is a 24 + track hard disk system with real outboard FX and a host of classic instruments including a Shergold 12 string electric guitar and a Guild B301 bass. Samples are sampled from source. Orchestral instruments, classic instruments, current instruments as well as session players all all at hand. I also use old ribbon mic's as well as modern ones, giving EMP a unique blend of old and new. As a composer, I have, since completing Guy Michelmore's Music For The Media Diploma course, been writing music and sound effects for websites The Movie Makers Guide and Winstant as well as many corporate DVD's. I work in pleasant surroundings at extremely affordable rates and always welcome bands and artists who want to experiment and create new music for the new century.
